This is due to the fact that more people are often involved in the accident.Last week in Centreville, Maryland, a two car accident occurred on Route 301 at approximately 11 a.m. As a result of the accident, one car ended up in a ditch on the side of the highway. Additionally, three of the people in the vehicles were sent to a local hospital for evaluation.According to police, at least one of the vehicles collided with a metal utility pole at the intersection of Route 301 and Rolling Bridge Road.Despite the fact that two volunteer fire departments were quick to respond, the roof of one of the vehicles had to be removed as a means of gaining access to the injured party inside. The other vehicle involved did not suffer as much damage.A representative for the Maryland State Police Barracks noted that there were two people in each vehicle. He added that three of the people were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.At this time, the Maryland State Police is investigating the cause of the accident.Due to the accident, traffic around the intersection was slowed to a crawl as the damaged vehicles were removed and the debris was cleaned up from the roadway.In some instances, it is difficult to determine who was at fault after a motor vehicle accident takes place.
