As a result, the historic Maryland Police Accountability Act of 2021 was passed over Governor Hogan\u2019s veto. Hopefully, it will make Maryland safer and increase community relationships, public confidence, and transparency that has been lacking for many years.Larry also had the privilege of accepting the Simon K. Walton Civil Justice Award on behalf of his clients, Makia Smith, Nicole and Daquan Wallace, and Richard Deans. They each were victims of civil rights violations. This award is given yearly to people who were injured as a result of others\u2019 misconduct.
