Every day throughout the state of Maryland, there are car accidents that lead to injuries and even deaths. According to Montgomery County police, a four-car accident on Columbia Pike led to the death of one person.
Police noted that a 22-year-old driver involved in the accident, who was previously listed in critical condition, has died. During the early afternoon hours, police were called to an accident on Columbia Pike. The driver of a Jeep collided with an Audi, starting a chain reaction accident. From there, the Audi struck a Lincoln Navigator while also hitting a Saturn.
The driver of the Audi, which turned over in the accident, was taken to the hospital where she later passed on from her injuries. The driver of the Lincoln was also transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The other drivers did not suffer any injuries as a result of the four-car accident. At this time, police continue to investigate the accident with hopes of unearthing more answers as to the cause.
These types of car accidents are among the most dangerous. When multiple vehicles are involved in a collision, it goes without saying that multiple people are as well. As a result, the chance of injuries or death is much greater.
In this case, the injured driver is now faced with the recovery process, while the family of the deceased must find a way to move on with their lie. Moving forward, both parties will have decisions to make, as accidents like this often result in a lawsuit.
