There are many roads throughout the country that are known for being extremely dangerous. That being said, a motor vehicle accident can happen at anytime on any roadway.
A recent two-car accident on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway seriously injured one man. According to a spokesman for the Anne Arundel Fire Department, firefighters responded to the motor vehicle accident at 5:45 a.m. that took place in the southbound lanes near Route 175.
As a result of the accident, one person, estimated to be 30-years-old, was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of serious injuries. Fortunately, it is being reported that while serious, the injuries are not considered life-threatening. At this time, there is no additional information on the victim’s condition or the cause of the accident.
There is no denying the fact that some roadways are more dangerous than others and that accidents are often times more likely to occur during busy commuting hours. However, this does not mean that drivers can let their guard down when traveling on less crowded roads or at non-peak hours. This story goes a long way in showing what can happen, as the accident occurred at 5:45 a.m. and it led to serious injuries for the victim.
Anybody who takes on the responsibility of driving must realize that there are steps they can take to ensure their safety, as well as the safety of those who are on the road at the same time.
Those who are injured in an accident due to someone else’s negligence may benefit from the advice of a personal injury attorney. This legal professional may provide information and guidance on the legal options for pursuing compensation for damages, injuries and other losses.
