Every driver is well aware of the risk associated with traveling on the road, regardless of the location or speed. At anytime, even if they are following the rules of the road, another driver could make a mistake. The end result is a multiple vehicle accident, which frequently leads to injury or even death.
Many of our Maryland readers spend a good amount of time traveling throughout the state. While most are lucky enough to have avoided being involved in car accidents, this is not the case for everybody.
A two car accident in Hollywood at Three Notch Road and St. John’s Road led to emergency units being called to the scene. The Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad along with the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of the accident, which took place at 5:25 p.m.
Shortly after the first crews arrived, the Advanced Life Support Unit was called to assist with a patient who was experiencing chest pains. One patient was taken to local Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
Upon arriving, crews found a two vehicle accident with one of the cars off the road. Fortunately, it was not long before traffic was able to get through in both directions.
Multi-vehicle car accidents can be extremely dangerous. In this case, there were two cars involved but it does not appear that anybody was seriously injured or killed.
